Vrka Terms of Service
Effective date: October 21, 2026
These terms apply when you use Vrka: the desktop application, your Vrka account, and Vrka’s servers that answer your questions. Ankit Anand personally operates Vrka. In these terms, “we” means Ankit Anand and “you” means the person using Vrka. Our Privacy Policy explains what information Vrka handles and how.
By creating an account or using Vrka, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Vrka.
Who can use Vrka
You must be at least 13 years old to use Vrka. When you sign up, you confirm that you are 13 or older. If you are under 18, you may use Vrka only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who should read these terms with you.
If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we will delete it.
A free beta
Vrka is in an invite-only beta and is currently free. You can join the waitlist on our website, and we will email you when there is a spot. There is nothing to pay and no payment details to enter. Beta software can change, break, or be unavailable. Features may be added, changed, or removed, and Vrka may be paused or stopped.
To keep Vrka responsive for everyone, each account can ask one question at a time, and Vrka may ask you to try again when it is busy or while its model is being updated. If we decide to charge for Vrka in the future, we will tell you on the website before any charge applies, and you will not be charged without agreeing to it.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details private and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time from inside the Vrka app.
What Vrka does with your questions
When you ask a question, Vrka sends a picture of the display you selected, your question, and your recent conversation to Vrka’s servers to produce an answer. Anything visible on that display can be included, so close or hide anything you do not want sent. Your voice is turned into text on your computer; recordings of your voice are not sent. The Privacy Policy describes this in detail.
You keep any rights you have in what you send to Vrka. You give us permission to process it only as needed to answer your question. We do not store it after the answer is produced or use it to train AI models. If we ever want to use questions for research, that will be opt-in only: we will ask you first, and nothing changes unless you agree.
Answers can be wrong
Vrka is a study aid. Its answers are generated by an AI model and can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Check important information, especially for exams, coursework, health, legal, or financial matters. Vrka does not replace a teacher, tutor, or professional advice. Follow the rules your school or course sets for using AI tools.
Acceptable use
Do not use Vrka to:
- break any law or anyone else’s rights, including copyright and privacy;
- capture or send information about other people that you do not have the right to share;
- create content that is harmful, harassing, or sexually explicit, or that exploits minors;
- overload, probe, or disrupt Vrka’s servers, get around its limits, or access it other than through the Vrka app;
- copy, resell, or reverse engineer Vrka, except where the law allows it.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules or puts Vrka or other people at risk.
Vrka’s software and content
Vrka, its app, website, name, and logo belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable permission to install and use the Vrka app for your own learning while these terms apply. Open-source parts of Vrka are covered by their own licences.
No warranties
Vrka is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that Vrka will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors.
Limits on our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, grades, or opportunities, arising from your use of Vrka. Because Vrka is free during the beta, our total responsibility to you for any claim about Vrka is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, which is zero. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that cannot be limited by agreement.
Ending use
You can stop using Vrka and delete your account at any time. We may stop offering Vrka, or close accounts as described above. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as those on warranties and responsibility, continue after your use ends.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Vrka changes. The effective date shows which version applies. For important changes we will give notice on the website or in the app before they take effect. Using Vrka after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
